Geopost’s Italian subsidiary BRT has unveiled a major transformation and growth plan, including taking on more employees, reducing the number of sub-contractors, investing in new branches and sustainable operations, and expanding its out-of-home delivery services.
Named Project Galileo, the far-sighted plan is designed to get the biggest Italian parcels carrier back to profitable growth after its revenues dropped by 4.2% in 2024. One key target is a 20% rise in turnover by the end of 2029.
According to Geopost, which has owned the company since 2020, Project Galileo was launched at the start of this year and rests on three fundamental pillars: consolidating the core business, developing new areas, and strengthening the strategic network. The wide-ranging plan is divided into 15 programs and 243 activities.
