Cargo Underground project moves forward

An ambitious freight infrastructure project in Switzerland, 'Cargo Underground’ - Cargo Sous Terrain (CST), which focuses on developing a subterranean system for goods transport and is earmarked to enter service early next decade, has taken a significant step forward with the Swiss Federal Council passing a law, to take effect on August 1, 2022, which provides the futurist scheme with a legal framework paving the way for the start of the construction permit and implementation phase.
