Finland Post rebrands corporate services under Itella

Finland Post has rebranded its corporate services in nine northern European countries as Itella,while keeping its Posti name for traditional postal operations in Finland.



The group has expanded beyond conventional postal services to become more international andbusiness-oriented. Companies and organisations account for 95% of Finland Post’s EUR 1.35 billionturnover, while a quarter of revenues come from international operations.

“This brand overhaul is a major strategic step that will benefit both our corporate customersand consumers. The adoption of the Itella brand also creates a firm foundation for growth both innorthern Europe and Russia,” commented Tarja Pääkkönen, senior vice-president of Finland Post.

While Finnish householders will continue to encounter the familiar Posti logo and yellowcolour in the Post’s branches, delivery services and on the Internet, the Itella brand will beadopted everywhere else for a wide range of postal services and solutions for information andmaterial logistics, including e-commerce, service warehousing, direct mail and e-invoicing.

Finland Post started to use the Itella brand at the beginning of this year and is introducingit in stages. Itella’s logo will remain unchanged, but it will be complemented by an image thatFinland Post says represents “efficiency, intelligent solutions and reaching”.

The new visual image will be seen in the streets when it is applied to most of the Group’svehicles during the course of this year.

Names of non-Finnish subsidiaries will be harmonised, with Information Logistics’subsidiaries called Itella Information Logistics and Logistics’ subsidiaries Itella Logistics.

The Group’s website is to be renewed as of next week. In future, consumers, corporatecustomers and Finland Post Group will all have their own dedicated sites.
