Itella, Finland Post’s international division, has announced that it is to buy the Swedishlogistics company PS Logistics, located in Borås and with a turnover of around SEK 80 million (EUR
8.74 million).The company provides freight warehousing, storage and contract logistics services and ispartly owned by Lithuanian interests.
The deal will strengthen the position of Itella Logistics in Sweden, particularly in freightbound for the Baltic states and eastern Europe.
“The home market of Itella Logistics covers the Baltic area, where we are currently one ofthe leading logistics companies,” said Joni Sundelin, vic-president of Itella Logistics.
“Buying PS Logistics will improve our market position in Sweden by strengthening our currentbusiness and by introducing new business areas. At the same time, we will strengthen our Balticoperations.”
The acquisition will be completed in August, Itella said.
