time:matters, Jetpak in European same-day cooperation deal

German same-day express company time:matters has sealed a cooperation deal with the Scandinavianmarket leader Jetpak in order to offer shorter transit times to and from Northern Europe.



Under the agreement, time:matters can now offer its customers same-day delivery services toand from about 100 new destinations in Scandinavia, including Stockholm, Oslo and Copenhagen aswell as business centres such as Gothenburg or Billund. Urgent documents or goods such asautomotive spare parts can now be sent, for example, from Düsseldorf to Gothenburg in three hours,or between Stockholm and Zurich in four hours.

In return, Jetpak benefits from time:matters’ 400 destinations in 90 countries around theworld. The cooperation is based on jointly-developed exclusive customised transport and handlingsolutions and integration of the two operators’ networks.

“Our partnership with Jetpak, one of the most important players in the same-day market, is anideal extension of our existing network,” said time:matters managing director Franz-Joseph Miller. “ Together we are bringing Scandinavia closer to the rest of Europe, which will have substantialadditional value for firms with business relationships in the Scandinavian region.” 

Erik Lautmann, Jetpak CEO, added: “Business links between Scandinavia and the rest of Europeare increasing all the time, meaning that there is growing demand for rapid and individuallogistics solutions that we can now ideally provide thanks to the new partnership.” 

Over the last year, Jetpak has expanded into Finland and Estonia. Finland would shortly beadded to the destinations covered by the time:matters cooperation, added Christer Blomqvist, Jetpakhead of business support.

Time:matters, now majority owned by investment company Buchanan Capital Partners, usescapacity on Lufthansa and other airlines for international transportation, and on Deutsche Bahnhigh-speed trains for nationwide transportation within Germany.

Jetpak, which is owned by investors Accent Equity Partners und Polaris Private Equity, usescapacity on 2,500 daily flights and its fleet of 700 delivery vans to provide urgent deliveriesthroughout Scandinavia.
