Swiss Post subsidiary Swiss Post Solutions (SPS) has renewed its contract with UK Mail foranother five years, to continue providing e-billing for UK Mail’s customers and franchise
partners.Under the agreement, SPS will continue offering multi-channel billing to the British independentmail and parcel provider, including print and online document management services. But it will alsomanage the transition of all credits, debits and claims from physical print and postal dispatch toa digital delivery solution.
SPS said the aim is to increase the email penetration level, currently 54%. Each month, itdelivers 69,300 invoices and statements digitally while a further 63,000 documents are printed,enclosed and dispatched each month from its Document Processing Centre.
SPS’ dedicated online portal for UK Mail operates as a ‘pull’ solution, enabling customers andpartners to access their current and historic account data at a time and place most convenient forthem. They can use the secure website to check the status of their accounts and view or downloadtheir invoices, statements, credits and debits. In addition, they benefit from accessing billingdata in formats that can be imported directly into their in-house systems.
SPS claimed the portal provides greater visibility, and improved customer interaction, as wellas significant cost savings by removing the need for paper, printing, postage and the cost oflabour in handling this work.
Cooperating with SPS since 2002, UK Mail was one of the first companies in the industry torecognise the potential of delivering invoices electronically to improve service levels forcustomers and franchised partners.
