Swiss Post again achieved a very high score in punctual delivery with letters and parcelsreaching their recipients in time in 2011.
During the last year, Swiss Post processed more than 100 million parcels maintaining the qualitystandards at the same level as in 2010.
In concrete terms, 97.5% of A mail letters (2010: 97.2%) and 99.3% of B mail letters (2010:98.5%) were delivered on time. The parcel deliveries were also very punctual with 97.4% of allPostPac Priority (2010: 97.7%) and 97.7% of all PostPac Economy parcels (2010: 97.5%) delivered ingood time.
Swiss Post stressed that the results exceeded the requirements by the Swiss Confederation of 97%in on-time delivery and that it ranks among the top performers by international comparison. Itadded that it aims to ensure the reliability of the physical letter in the future as well throughinvestments state-of-the-art technology and staff training.
To provide even more convenience to its customers, Swiss Post has launched the PickPost serviceat some 350 additional post offices in the beginning of the year. The PickPost office network thuscomprises more than 700 access points.
