Peak season performance, international cross-border, innovations and strategies for 2017 will be among the key topics at The Delivery Conference 2017 in London next week.
The annual conference organised by e-commerce delivery management company MetaPack provides the first opportunity in the year for the sector to come together and share vital insight and experience following the busy peak and Christmas period. The forum is designed to inspire visitors with ideas and innovations that they can use as part of their strategic planning.
The 2017 conference, taking place on January 31 at the Park Plaza Hotel, Westminster, London, features a line-up of top speakers from the retail and delivery sectors.
Among the retailers making presentations are Bertrand Bodson (Chief Digital & Marketing Officer, Sainsbury's Argos); David Schröder (SVP Operations, Zalando), Olga Bressers (Director Omni-Channel Models Development, Adidas); Meifang Chen (International Business Development, Alibaba Group); Carole Kane (CEO Boohoo.com); Richard Pugh (Head of Logistics, M&S); Duncan Kendal (Supply Chain Director, Wickes); and Catherine Faiers, Chief Operating Officer at Addison Lee.
Top names in the UK delivery industry speaking at the conference include DPD UK’s CEO Dwain McDonald; Roger Morris, Head of Royal Mail Parcels; Hermes UK CEO Carole Woodhead; and Patrick Gallagher, CEO at On the Dot.
The opening keynote address will be made by Patrick Wall, CEO at MetaPack, discussing trends in delivery, while Brody Buhler (Global Managing Director, Post & Parcel Industry, Accenture), DHL eCommerce CEO Charles Brewer, Jamin Dick (Pitney Bowes’ SVP Supply Chain Global Ecommerce) and Deliveroo’s founder and CEO Will Shu will also address delegates during the one-day conference.
The conference comprises two streams and four different theatres. In the eCommerce and Customer Experience stream, Brand Experience and Insight will focus on the emotion of delivery, including building loyalty, growth and brand equity. This will be followed by Returns, looking at the opportunity and how to close the loop on delivery experiences. In the Logistics and Carrier Stream, the focus turns to Delivery Download outlining the carrier landscape and innovation for the year ahead, whilst the afternoon session addresses International Crossborder, in particular the future of cross-border delivery.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to visit the stands of over 30 exhibitors including leading eCommerce technology and logistics providers to see their latest products and solutions.
The conference, now in its eighth year, is expected to more than 1,250 delegates from the UK and over 20 other countries.
