Swiss Post Solutions, a subsidiary of Swiss Post, has been expanding its operations in the USAduring the last year, including the latest opening of a new corporate office in Washington, DC.
Swiss Post Solutions (SPS) has continuously expanded over the last few years. It now employs6,800 people with operations in the USA, Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia comprising 23countries in total.
Despite this positive development, however, the international expansion of the Swiss postaloperator was one of the reasons why Swiss Post chairman Claude Béglé was forced to resign onTuesday. He had been heavily criticised for his planned strategy of diversification and foreignexpansion in response to the downturn in mail volumes.
As one of the fastest-growing providers of outsourcing solutions, Swiss Post Solutionslaunched operations in more than a dozen US cities during 2009 including Los Angeles, Philadelphia,Minneapolis and Houston as well as Calgary in Canada. Headquartered in New York City, the companyoffers a comprehensive suite of outsourcing solutions, including mail, copy/print/scan, records,reception, IT, call center/switchboard, concierge, data entry/word processing.
With the recent opening of the Washington DC office, the company wants to support clients inthe Mid-Atlantic Region under the direction of Jamie M. Lawless, Vice President, Strategic Markets.
