Roy Smolders will be Hermes Fulfilment COO

Roy Smolders is to become Chief Operating Officer of Hermes Fulfilment GmbH as of 1 July 2021, succeeding Kevin Kufs who became CEO in April.

Alongside CFO Eva Witte, Dutchman Roy Smolders will complete the three-strong management team of the Otto Group company Hermes Fulfilment.

The 39-year-old has been Head of Supply Chain Operations & Excellence at Otto Group Holding since 1 November 2020. In this position, he is responsible for network optimization and control coordination between the Group's logistics service providers and retail companies.

Roy Smolders brings with him many years of experience in the development and optimization of logistics services, including jobs at Lekkerland and Ceva Logistics in the Netherlands, where he implemented supply-chain initiatives.
