Renault supplies DHL Express France with 23 new e-vans

DHL Express has invested €1 million to add 23 new electric Renault Master Z.E. utility vehicles to enter its French fleet by the end of April, upping the number of green vehicles to 105 in total.

The vans have a capacity of 11 and 13 cubic metres and will operate in 11 cities across the country. Additionally, five StreetScooter WORK XL electric vans manufactured by Deutsche Post subsidiary StreetScooter, will be added to the fleet.

DHL Express France will thus have a wide and diversified range of zero emission vehicles. The additions are an important step towards the company’s goal of completing 70% of its activities on the first and last kilometre with zero emission solutions by 2025.

Philippe Prétat, CEO of DHL Express France, explained: “At DHL, we are moving up a gear in terms of green logistics. We are very attentive to the new solutions proposed by utility manufacturers. This is why we very quickly decided to invest in the electric version of the Master van put on the market last year by Renault.

“In addition, we do not hesitate to experiment with initiatives that allow us to move towards our goal: to carry out, by 2025, 70% of our activities on the first and last kilometre with zero emission solutions. Collaborative deliveries, lockers, relay points are also part of the solutions we offer in city centres."
