Innovative companies, including tech-based disrupters and start-ups, were voted winners by retailers at the Deliver 2019 event last week.

They gained votes from some 300 retailers during the two-day event at Estoril, near Lisbon, which was attended by 1,000 delegates from 40 countries, including 600 retailers and 83 sponsors/exhibitors. CEP-Research was a media partner for the event.

The Game Changer award, rewarding the company with the potential to disrupt the industry, went to Autostore, with DS Smith and Geek+ as runners-up. The Sustainability award, rewarding the company with highest environmental achievements, was won by Smurfit Kappa, ahead of DPDgroup and Urb-It.

The Customer Experience award, rewarding the company delivering the best executed service, was won by Narvar. The runners-up in that category were P2P and DPDgroup.

The Cool Vendor award, rewarding the company with the most respected brand and inspiring services, went to Smurfit Kappa, with CMC, GCX and Packsize as runners-up. The Rising Star award, rewarding the most promising startup, was won by Geek+, while Parcel Lab, Paack and Zencargo were runners-up.

Retailers representing logistics spending of several billion euros, vendors offering delivery, technology, fulfilment and packaging services, and diverse other participants held a total of 3,500 one-to-one meetings over the two days. This makes Deliver by far Europe’s biggest e-logistics marketplace, according to the organisers.

The conference programme involved a global line-up of speakers, with a range of retail thought leaders as well as forward thinkers from disruptive startups, who presented the latest state of play in Artificial Intelligence applied to retail and logistics.

“It’s an immense pleasure to see how DELIVER became in only 4 editions the buzzing center of e-commerce & logistics in Europe, as the retail operations leadership community needed such a forum favouring meaningful business meetings, high-level networking and curated content,” said event founder Stéphane Tomczak.

Next year, 1,500 business leaders are invited to join Deliver 2020 on June 10/11, 2020 in Amsterdam at the Taets Art & Event Park.
