Geodis Calberson has opened a new groupage and express depot near Nancy in north-eastern Franceto enhance operations in the region as part of the company’s commitment to continuously improving
customer satisfaction.The new premises are larger, more modern and built according to environmental standards triplingthe operational area of the current site from 4,500 sqm to 12,000 sqm, with the capacity to processover 13,000 parcels daily.
The depot, which features a 285m parcel processing line with 40 automatic pallet trucks and 35automatic fork-lift trucks, is located in the Vermois ZAC (urban development zone) in closeproximity to Ville-en-Vermois in the Lorraine region.
“The new platform provides a direct link with the French and international networks. Our role isto serve the economic development of the Lorraine region,” Charles-Louis de Vogüé, Geodis regionaldirector, Champagne-Ardenne Est, said.
Geodis added that the new depot will support companies based in Nancy and across the Vosges areaby offering them global transport services.
