Time:matters launches same-day transatlantic air express deliveries

A time:matters airport handover

German-based special speed logistics firm time:matters is expanding outside Europe with 16 stations in the U.S. and Mexico to enable same-day air express deliveries between the two continents.

The Lufthansa Cargo-owned company announced that it has set up 15 stations at major US airports as well as one in Mexico to complement its existing network of more than 100 stations and more than 21 partner airlines in Europe and Israel.

Between the US, Mexico, and Europe, time:matters offers a total of more than 500 direct flights per week to and from Frankfurt, Paris, London, Munich, and Vienna. In addition to the flights operated by Lufthansa and Austrian Airlines, additional American Airlines flights to and from Frankfurt, Paris, and London are now also available.

With these direct connections, time-critical shipments that need to reach the recipient on the same day can now get to the United States and Mexico from Europe and vice versa, the courier company said. For customers, the expansion means the shortest possible transport and handling times for shipments of up to 200 kg, combined with a standardized pricing logic.

Customers from the sectors of automotive, electronics, semiconductors and aviation in particular benefit from the network expansion. For example, urgently needed spare parts from Germany are picked up, cleared by customs and reach the desired station in the U.S. or Mexico by air on the same day, allowing them to then be delivered directly to the production site.

The Sameday Air transports can be booked online through the company’s fully automated booking portal, and the shipment history can be tracked. In addition, there are 24/7 customer service specialists available for consultation.

“We are responding to the demands of our customers by expanding our route network for same-day transports to the U.S.,” said CEO Alexander Kohnen. “Our long-term goal is to provide our customers with a worldwide Sameday Air network,” adds COO Christian Mörtl.

Time:matters describes itself as the expert for particularly urgent transports and complex logistics. Urgently needed spare parts, medical samples and important documents are transported quickly and reliably via air, rail and road, using a global network with more than 500 courier partners and airlines offering more than 3,000 flights a day to over 500 destinations in around 100 countries.

The company currently employs 220 people and operates its own terminal for express and courier shipments at Frankfurt Airport. It handles about 500,000 shipments per year, representing 11,000 tonnes of shipments in weight terms.
