GLS has launched a new portal ‘GLS One’ in Belgium and Luxemburg enabling private and ad-hoc shippers to send parcels.
Customers can quickly and easily create, pay for and print out the parcel label and then hand in their parcel at one of the 500 GLS parcel shops across Belgium and Luxemburg.
Registration is not necessary but possible, GLS explained. Registered users will find additional functions in the login area such as address book administration, which are ideal for multiple shippers. Payment can be made by credit card (Visa), via PayPal or Bancotact (BE) or V-Pay (LU).
In addition to delivery to a specific address, customers can also select the delivery to a GLS parcel shop and thus benefit from favorable shipping prices.
"In addition to the simple handling, our focus was on providing shippers and recipients with the greatest possible convenience and flexibility,” Luc De Schrijver, General Manager at GLS Belux, said. This allows the shipper to print out the parcel label or to save it as a QR code and print it out at the parcel shop.
Private shippers can also activate the GLS FlexDeliveryService via GLS-ONE if they enter the recipient's e-mail address in addition to the service option. The recipient will then receive from GLS the information about the delivery day as well as the delivery time window by e-mail and will be able to select alternatives, if necessary.
