Pay rise at Austrian Post

Postal workers in Austria are to get a 1.9% pay rise from July 1 under an agreement between Austrian Post and unions.

The company and the GPF union agreed on a new one-year pay agreement following several rounds of negotiations.

Under the deal, there will be a 1.9% increase for employee salaries covered by the collective agreement, for civil servant salaries and for employees with special contracts.

Accompanying additional payments will also go up by the same percentage while additional payments for night shifts will increase by 2.1% from July 1.
