Clinical logistics specialist Marken has opened a new branch office and logistics operations centrein Shanghai to serve many of its pharmaceutical clients in the city, nearby Suzhou and surrounding
areas.The facility is strategically located to provide regional distribution and supply chainlogistics services for pharmaceutical products and medical devices for the clinical trialsindustry.
Located close to both Hongqiao and Pudong airports, the new office within the Zhangjiang hightech district is also in close proximity to several of Marken’s existing pharma clients.Temperature controlled vehicles will join Marken’s fleet to provide ground transportation for timeand temperature sensitive shipments.
With Asia now a top clinical trial destination, Marken’s growth in the number of offices,depots and now growing number of full time employees in China is tied to their commitment toprovide services and facilities where clients need them to be located. In preparation for thisgrowth, Marken was granted a 12 year license to ship biological samples and drug products withinChina.
