UPS opens more express centres to target Mexican SMEs

UPS has opened ten new UPS Express centres across Mexico to target the country’s growing SME andretail sectors.

The centres are located in the capital, Mexico City, and the surrounding area as well as inmajor cities, including Monterrey, Tijuana, Chihuahua, Veracruz and León.

“UPS’s goal is to reach SMEs by providing consulting, solutions and a broad portfolio ofnational and international services that will help their growth. Together, these 10 Express centreswill help our customers better connect to the world economy through the UPS global network,” saidMilton Magos, Commercial Director, UPS Mexico.

The UPS Express centres are designed to provide customers a faster, more customised self-serviceprocess for both international and domestic shipments, and are part of the company’s ongoingcommitment to serve Mexico and support the country’s growth.

They offer a variety of services created to meet customers’ needs for expertise and ease ofshipping. Every location will have multiple service desks to help speed up processes and reducewaiting times. Furthermore, a designated area has been created exclusively to provide technologyresources and assistance for customers, to process their shipments, request pick-ups, and tracktheir packages in real time. 

The new centres will include domestic and international shipping services as well as a wideportfolio of technology solutions and logistics. Additionally, customers will benefit fromuninterrupted service on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to2:30 p.m. This will offer greater flexibility to those who need to pick up or send packages duringspecific times of the day. In the event that a customer is unable to directly ship theirmerchandise, UPS Express centres will provide pick-up services within a distance of 1km.

“UPS has the infrastructure required to connect customers and companies with the rest of Mexicoand the world,” added Magos. “The goal of our expansion plan is to strengthen UPS’s presence in keycities by providing our wide portfolio of solutions and opening access points that are locatedclose to SMEs and the general public.”
