European road express cooperation group Net Express Europe has signed up DX Freight as itspartner for the UK and Ireland in place of City Link.
DX Freight is the new name of Nightfreight, the parcels and freight delivery compared bought bythe DX Group last year and re-branded earlier this year.
Net Express Europe (NEE), founded in 1999, now comprises 18 domestic express companies who useeach others’ services for international transport and delivery. The major members include foundersGeodis Calberson (France), SEUR (Spain/Portugal) and GEL Express Logistik (Germany). Last year HITbecame the partner for Scandinavia.
The product portfolio comprises ‘NEE Standard’, a daily delivery service for shipments up to1,000kgs, the low-priced Eurobag product for items up to 5kg, and NEEPAL, offering inexpensivedistribution of palletised freight
The NEE members had combined revenues of €2.3 billion and delivered some 101 million nationaland international shipments in 2011, according to its website. They have more than 32,000employees, over 23,500 vehicles and 800 depots and 27 hubs.
