German specialist delivery firm GEL Express Logistik has sealed a partnership with leadingItalian express operator BRT (Bartolini), which already cooperates with DPD.
GEL said the partnership would enable it to offer time-critical and complex deliveries to theimportant Italian market. The two companies had a very similar structure and range of services bothfor imports and exports, it noted.
The German firm, founded in 1991, offers overnight deliveries of bulky or sensitive goods aswell as B2C and two-person deliveries. It operates through a franchise-based network of fourlogistics centres and 69 system partners.
BRT, which traded under its original name of Bartolini until 2011, operates the largest deliverynetwork in Italy, with more than 170 branches, some 14,000 staff and a fleet of 7,500 vehicles.
