Postal operator P&T Luxembourg has acquired 30 more electric vehicles in order to reduce theCO2 emissions of its delivery fleet.
This latest addition of 30 electric Renault Kangoo Z.E. brings up the total number of thestate-owned company’s climate-friendly vans to more than 60.
Claude Strasser, Managing Director of P&T Luxembourg, commented: “This initiative is fullyin line with P&T’s sustainable development approach, as one of our objectives is to reduce theCO2 emissions generated by our activities. In this way, P&T is also contributing to the newCO2-reduction objective of the International Post Corporation (IPC), whose members (includingP&T) recently decided to reduce the total CO2 emissions generated by postal operators worldwideby 33% (in comparison with 2010) by 2020″.

Over the last years, P&T Luxembourg has consistently invested in alternative deliveryvehicles, for instance with the acquisition of electric Peugeot iOn vehicles in 2011 and theacquisition of diverse methane-fuelled and hybrid vans in 2009.
