German fashion brand ESCADA goes online with Hermes

German e-fulfilment provider Hermes NexTec will develop and operate an online shop for luxuryfashion brand ESCADA which is to launch in early 2013 and will also provide warehousing and

distribution services.

Hermes division NexTec, specialised in e-fulfilment for the fashion industry, will beresponsible for both design and implementation of the webshop. Also, Hermes NexTec will manage theshop’s IT and, together with the fashion brand, take care of online marketing. Furthermore, Hermeswill provide fulfilment services such as warehousing, payment services, customer care, distributionand returns management through its facility in Haldensleben, Germany.

“We are very happy that we were able to win ESCADA for a long-term partnership and that wewill implement a full-service e-commerce solution for the company. Together, we want to create anemotional shopping experience that starts with the sales approach and ends with the delivery to thecustomers’ doorstep,” said Holger Lendner, Head of Hermes NexTec.

“We were looking for a service provider who has both a high degree of competence ine-commerce as well as specialised know-how of our industry. Moreover, the whole package consistingof the online shop, fulfilment and delivery services played a key role in our decision in favour ofHermes NexTec,” explained Tonio Frühauf, Director e-commerce at ESCADA.

After the successful launch in Germany and Austria, Hermes NexTec and ESCADA plan to furtherexpand the fashion brand’s online reach to more markets in Europe and worldwide. Hermes aims tosupport the company’s international expansion through its presence in key markets such as the USA,Russia, China and Brazil. Hermes claims to be the only brand worldwide who offers retailers thefull range of services along the value-added chain.
