FedEx Express extends cut-off times from Thailand to Europe

FedEx Express has extended cut-off times for customers in Thailand shipping parcels to Europe bytwo hours to 7 pm giving them more time and flexibility to prepare their outbound shipments.

“FedEx supports local and small businesses by making strategic investments to respond tocustomer needs,” David Carden, managing director of FedEx Express in Thailand and Indochina, said. “ Despite a challenging economic environment in Europe, Thailand remains a strong EU trading partnerwith trade between the two markets growing year-on-year. We hope that our service improvements willgive customers a strong competitive advantage when doing business in Europe.”

In addition to extended cut-off times for parcels shipped to Europe, the cut-off times have alsobeen extended for shipments to North and South America. This improved service for EU destinationsbenefits Bangkok and its surrounding areas as well as Chiang Mai, Lumphun, and Laemchabang.

Separately, as part of its corporate responsibility activities, FedEx Express is supporting Thaistudents with its employees acting as mentors to the students throughout the Junior Achievement(JA) Thailand programme. Now in its fourth year, the FedEx programme aims to educate and inspireyoung people in Asia Pacific countries, including Thailand, to help develop more youngentrepreneurs. As part of the initiative, FedEx organises the annual FedEx /Junior AchievementInternational Trade Challenge (ITC) for students to compete on regional and internationallevels.
