Operating 365 days a year, the ByBox Tech Courier service offers a four hour, eight hour andnext business day technical swap out, fix or collection of machines and components, which providesa crucial service to Ensign. With access to field service technicians across the UK, the ByBox TechCourier Service helps Ensign meet tight Service Level Agreements.

Moreover, ByBox offers a complete solution thanks to its unique software platform Thinventorywhich gives complete visibility of the supply chain at all times. As well as mobilising an engineerto carry out a particular job, Thinventory can pinpoint the location of the nearest available partand also manage the return of faulty parts. These are either sent to the ByBox in-house repaircentre, or to another repairer, or, if under warranty, back to the manufacturer forcompensation.

Mark Garritt, Managing Director of ByBox, said: “We are delighted to be working with Ensign andlook forward to a long and productive relationship. Qcom turned to ByBox for a complete solution after experiencing difficulties with deliveringparts direct to customers’ premises by a standard carrier. This method had proved unreliable asparts were often stuck in customers’ internal ‘Goods In’ systems, especially on larger sites, causing confusion, delays and extra costs.

ByBox said its solution bypasses this problem completely as it delivers parts in-night pre-8amto its network of lockers all over the UK. Moreover any unused or faulty parts are returned throughthe same network.

ByBox is also boosting Qcom’s productivity by taking care of simpler jobs, thus freeing up Qcomengineers to concentrate on higher-value, more complex jobs that demand their expertise.
