DHL has expanded its presence in the Brazilian automotive market with the opening of an AutomotiveCompetence Centre in São Paulo, consolidating all of the company’s local activities in this sector,
which equate to with nearly 2,000 shipments per month.At the new facility, a DHL team consisting of 17 professionals will develop value-addedlogistics solutions, including air freight, ocean freight, and purchase-order management forclients in the Brazilian automotive sector. DHL Global Forwarding, the air and ocean freightspecialist within Deutsche Post DHL, emphasised the importance of the local Brazilian market fororiginal equipment manufacturers and first-tier suppliers.
DHL said the centre in São Paulo was expected to streamline the internal automotive supplychain, in collaboration with other countries and regions around the world. while broadening theservice range offered to Brazilian customers.

The Automotive Competence Centre in Brazil is part of DHL’s worldwide initiative targetingpeople, processes and infrastructure in the automotive industry. DHL currently operates seven ofthese Competence Centers, with a strong focus on markets in developing countries.
