UPS improves air operations and transit times for Atlantic Canada

UPS has added air capacity to Atlantic Canada and introduced service enhancements includingshorter transit times and earlier guaranteed-delivery times as well as Saturday delivery to certain

regions.
 
The additional air capacity is now available for international and domestic freight shipmentsas well as packages, with many shipments to and from Atlantic Canada set to benefit from a one-dayimprovement in transit times. For example, shipments from Los Angeles to Dartmouth or from St.John’s to Vancouver now will arrive the next business day.
 
UPS will also provide earlier guaranteed delivery times as part of its Express Early A.M.service switching from 9.00 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. for many domestic shipments. The delivery times forUPS Express and UPS Express Saver services have also improved to 10.30 a.m.

In addition, the company has introduced Saturday deliveries to select Canadian destinationsincluding major cities such as Halifax, Moncton and St. John’s.
 
UPS Canada claimed  the enhancements would provide customers with added flexibility andconvenience in managing and optimising their internal processes, getting their products to marketfaster and helping to manage customer satisfaction levels.
