Austrian Post staff get 3.2% pay rise

Staff of Austrian Post will get a pay rise of 3.2% for the coming 12 months under an agreementbetween the company and the GPF postal union.

After several weeks of negotiations the two sides agreed on an increase of 3.2% for staffcovered by the collective pay agreement, civil servants or workers with special contracts. The dealruns from July 1, 2012 until June 30, 2013.

Salaries of staff covered by the new collective agreement dating from 2009 will receive a 3.25%pay rise. Postmen and women covered by this agreement will get an additional monthly overtimepayment of €84 from September 1 onwards, and their working times will be brought into line withother mail delivery staff.
