trans-o-flex ThermoMed, the specialist for temperature-controlled 2° to 8°C business within thetrans-o-flex family, has completed the integration of its Austrian subsidiary Scherübl Transport
with a new appearance and name. Now operating under the corporate brand “ThermoMed Austria”, Scherübl has already beeninterconnected with trans-o-flex via daily line-haul traffic for several years.
Company founder Franz Scherübl senior said. “It was our intention to underline our affiliationwith a strong group of companies, which provides its special services for the pharmaceuticalindustry not only in Austria but also in Germany, the Benelux countries and, since recently, Franceand Denmark.”
Scherübl sold the majority of shares to trans-o-flex in 2008 but still holds a minority stakeand will continue driving forward trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria as a management board member.
“As a part of the trans-o-flex logistic group, we are not only able to offer our servicesoutside Austria but also benefit from the innovations and process improvements of our Germancolleagues and have the financial power of trans-o-flex’s holding company Austrian Post, which isespecially important as further investments in our network are necessary,” he added.
The new appearance is being implemented step by step. “We start where we have the most contactsto our customers – our drivers and vehicles“, Scherübl explained. The vehicles will be coloured incharcoal grey and dynamic orange with a white background, which is already being used fortrans-o-flex ThermoMed in Germany and the Benelux countries. “When doing all this, we keep thecosts related to such a transition at a low level as a medium-sized company.” Therefore, thevehicles’ design and inscription will be changed gradually with the addition of new and replacementvehicles.
In order to match the drivers’ appearance as well, all of the specialists for the last mile havebeen given the ThermoMed service uniforms. The pharmaceutical specialist’s business equipment aswell as the Internet presence will be adjusted accordingly. “We believe that this will help usachieve a high level of brand recognition, thus being able to highlight the quality and value ofour wide range of logistic services for Austria’s pharmaceutical companies,” Scherüblconcluded.
