The Mail division had a fractional 0.4% underlying revenue decline to €5.94 billion. The post office network increase had flat sales of €1,260 million for mail and parcel productsand services.
La Banque Postale increased its revenues by 1.2% to €2,671 million but its profits dropped to€245 million mostly due to a €158 million provision for the lower value of Greekinvestments.
Looking ahead, the company said that after a first half-year “in line with the objectives” thesecond half of 2011 was marked by uncertainty due to the slower European economy and movements infinancial markets. Nevertheless, it confirmed the target of an operating profit margin of at least3% in 2011.
