Purolator International, a subsidiary of Canada’s major express provider Purolator Inc., hasopened a new branch at Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport (MSP) as part of its US and
international expansion.The Minneapolis branch offers comprehensive cross border logistics services for shipmentstransported between the US Central Region and Canada. The facility, part of Purolator’s aggressive2011 expansion plan for the USA, processes small package and freight deliveries for the country’scentral region and Canada, as well as within the USA.
John Wilson, a board member of the Midwest Global Trade Associations (MGTA), has been namedBranch Manager to head the new office. Wilson, a former UPS and DHL Express manager, will report toPurolator International’s Central District Manager, Chris Antonelli.
“There’s a vast amount of cross-border trade between Canada, Minneapolis and the entire CentralRegion,” said John Costanzo, President, Purolator International. “This new branch location willprovide Purolator with a direct access to the Canadian border and offer global supply chainsolutions for area businesses that ship to and from the Canadian market. Minneapolis is our fourthbranch opening in 2011 so far, with recent openings in San Francisco, Boston and Salt Lake City.”& lt; /p>
Last year, Minneapolis and Canada celebrated a 40-year connection of trade, jobs and innovationwith Canada currently being Minnesota’s largest export market, as reported by the City ofMinneapolis.
