Bartolini, the Italian express company, has continued its network expansion with the opening ofseveral new locations.
On May 16, Bartolini BRT opened a new logistics services facility at Crespellano, betweenBologna and Modena. The facility covers an area of 33,000 sqm, is equipped with the very latesttechnology for managing all areas of distribution logistics (from reception and stock managementright through to production support and outgoing logistics) and is 9 km from the Bologna BorgoPanigale motorway exit and 20 km from Bologna city centre. The new facility is next door to anew Bartolini BRT Transport branch covering a further 3,000 sqm and ideally situated for handlingcustomer orders and deliveries with the maximum speed.
The new Bartolini BRT Logistics Services plant at Rovigo, between Padua and Ferrara, will beoperational from June 13. Covering an area of around 32,000 sqm and fitted out with the mostup-to-date equipment for all distribution logistics activities (entry logistics, stock management,production support and exit logistics), the plant is located 5 km from the centre of the city and 7km from the motorway exit at Villamarzana. The plant is adjacent to the 5,000 sqm Bartolini BRTTransport branch, offering clients top speed in fulfilling orders and deliveries.
Meanwhile, the branch at Caltanissetta, in central Sicily, moved to a new, more modern facilityon May 23. The new facility covers approximately 1,600 sqm and is 4 km from the Caltanissettamotorway exit and 1.5 km from the town centre. The opening of the new branch, which is equippedwith an automatic parcel sorting system, will enable the company to serve the provinces ofCaltanissetta and Enna.
Bartolini, which delivers more than 125 million parcels a year in Italy as well as to foreigndestinations through partners, now has more than 170 branches across Italy and warehousing spacecovering 900,000 sqm. It employs about 14,000 people and has a fleet of more than 7,500vehicles.
