German same-day express and emergency logistics provider time:matters has expanded its networkof stations to include two additional European locations at the airports of Belgrade, Serbia, and
Klagenfurt, Austria. With effect from 1st February, time:matters customers are profiting with the network expansionfrom quicker and more frequent connections (via road, air, rail) within Europe and to destinationsoutside Europe. This applies especially to the region of Carinthia, the southernmost Austrianstate, as time:matters is currently the only logistics service provider offering air cargo servicesfrom Klagenfurt.
Steven Plenk, Country Manager time:matters Austria, said: “We are now represented in the fourkey hubs in Austria: Vienna, Graz, Linz and Klagenfurt. This way, we can offer our customers inAustria a very tightly-knit network saving them more than two hours if, for example, a directdelivery from Southern Austria to Graz can be avoided.”
For example, urgent cargo reaches the airport in London already within 6.35 hours and shipmentsto Athens can already be delivered within 7 hours (both examples include handling times).
The addition of the Nikola Tesla Airport in Serbia’s capital Belgrade offers logisticaladvantages particularly for the automotive industry that is strongly represented in the country. The transport time between Serbia and several cities in Central and Western Europe such asFrankfurt, Vienna and Munich, is subsequently reduced to just a few hours.
Franz-Joseph Miller, CEO of time:matters, commented: “With over 400 stations in 90 countries andmore than 3,000 connections per day, we already have a very dense and high-frequency network, whichwe will continue expanding.”
