Norway Post is restructuring its operations to put more focus on parcels and logisticsactivities that are becoming increasingly important for the group as mail volumes decline.

As part of the new organisational structure, the Mail Division and parts of the DistributionNetwork Division will be merged to form an integrated Mail Division with responsibility for bothcustomers and production. The new Mail Division will be led by Executive Vice President Tore K.Nilsen.

The Logistics Division, on the other hand, will be divided into two divisions, the Parcels andGoods Division, led by Executive Vice President Arne Bjørndahl, and the Logistics SolutionsDivision led by Executive Vice President Pål R. Amundsen, a new Executive Vice President. Thesubsidiary ErgoGroup AS will not be affected by these changes.

“With two logistics divisions, the Group management will come closer to the logistics market. The integrated mail division will help us adapt more quickly to changes in customer needs and pavethe way for further cost reductions in the mail segment. In general, the new organisation isintended to contribute to coordination gains throughout the Group,” said Norway Post’s Presidentand CEO Dag Mejdell.

This new structure to become fully operational in June is expected to create operationalsynergies and boost Nordic growth, Norway Post added. In the coming months, work will be carriedout to shape the divisions in detail and define interfaces and key personnel.

In 2009, Norway Post succeeded in improving its profit significantly despite a 12% drop in mailvolumes and lower mail and logistics revenues thanks to major cost-cutting measures, especially theSpinnaker efficiency programme that generated net savings of about NOK 1 billion last year.

In 2008, Norway Post unveiled its new brand name of “Bring” to deliver on its strategy ofinternational expansion in the Nordic postal and logistics markets. In recent years, the group hasgrown significantly in the Nordic region. By the end of 2007, Norway Post had become the largestpost and logistics company in the Nordic region.
