In Time targets pre-crisis revenues this year

In Time Express Logistik

German time-critical courier company In Time Express Logistik today gave an optimistic outlookfor business this year thanks to stronger demand and predicted higher revenues for 2010 than in the

pre-crisis year of 2008.

The company said that it is seeing a strong recovery in demand for time-critical transport thisyear after the financial and economic crisis significantly hit business last year. Strong exportsin key sectors such as automotive and machinery have already led to production bottlenecks thathave required unplanned special transport, it noted.

In the first half of 2010, In Time generated double-digit growth in both volumes and revenues, including new revenue records in some months. Increased logistics demand from the automotiveindustries and its suppliers played a key role. The company was contracted by TRW at the start ofthe year for direct deliveries in Germany and to Central and Eastern European countries.

“The economic climate still requires a high level of attention and ability to react. At present, however, we expect demand to continue dynamically after the quiet summer months,” said managingdirector Gerd Röttger. Everything pointed to the company closing 2010 with revenues higher than the2008 figures of €83 million.

In Time will invest further this year in the installation of more On-Board-Units insub-contractor vehicles to improve commissioning, tracking and data exchange, and sub-contractorswith OBUs will be given preference for orders. The number of vehicles fitted with the machines hasincreased by about 40% to 810 since the start of the year.

The company has also taken on additional staff and now has more than 400 staff at its 19locations, which is more than in autumn 2008. The central sales department in Hanover has beenstrengthened with additional key account managers and a new customer service department has beencreated.
