TNT Singapore has succeeded in gaining customers and winning heavier freight volumes since openingits enlarged country depot and customer contact centre last year.
In the first year of operations of the new facility, which strengthened its network coverage,connectivity and infrastructure, TNT Singapore said it has increased its customer base by 14%.
Through its investments in customer service, its infrastructure and advanced materialhandling and automation technologies for heavy freight, TNT Singapore has seen the overall weightof its consignments increase by 38% since the facilities were expanded.
The growth has been achieved across all sectors served. Weight of consignments in theequipment and machinery and healthcare sectors each increased by 20%, while the high-tech sectorsaw the most dramatic growth where the weight of consignments increased six-fold.

The Singapore Country Depot and the Customer Contact Centre are located within TNT’s 180,000square feet premises in Changi South Lane, occupying an area four times the size of the previouscentres. The integrated facility houses TNT’s Life Sciences Express Hub, the company’s largestdedicated life sciences facility in the world, and other regional distribution centre operations.The Customer Contact Centre offers customers a complete range of TNT’s services and housesindustry-dedicated customer service departments.
Meanwhile, TNT Singapore has also been honoured at the Asia Responsible EntrepreneurshipAwards, receiving the Community Engagement Award in recognition of its many CSR activities. Theseinclude the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) partnership and the Walk the Worldinitiative.
