DHL’s Indian subsidiary Blue Dart has launched a new express service for heavier goods to be sentabroad primarily targeting international customers.
Express Pallet is a unique, weather-resistant, safe and economical door-to-door solutionwhich can be ‘built’ to accommodate shipments ranging from 50kg to 100kg, the company said in astatement. International distribution is provided through DHL Express.
It is fitted with specially designed in-built wood-free pallet base for smooth and safetransportation via a forklift. The sturdy packaging ensures additional safety of the shipment whilethe heavy-duty corrugated weather-proof cardboard box is further shrink-wrapped to provideadditional protection against water. The innovative and economical packaging solution can generatecost savings of about 40% on normal freight to the USA.
Ketan Kulkarni, Head of Marketing, Corporate Communications and Sustainability, Blue DartExpress Limited, described the new service as another effort to serve customers as an integratedlogistics service provider.
