DHL Russia opens a new branch near St. Petersburg

DHL Russia has opened a new branch in Vyborg, north of St. Petersburg, to further expand itsnetwork in the country.



Vyborg lies close to the Finnish border on the main trucking route between St Petersburg andHelsinki. DHL customers in Vyborg can profit from the full range of individual and convenientsolutions including express delivery of parcels and mail nationwide and abroad as well astime-definite delivery (9:00, 12:00, 18:00), customs-related services etc.

Due to its geographical location and economic position, the North-Western region plays aspecial role not only in the development of Russian economy but also in the company’s development,DHL Russia said.

To ensure timely and reliable delivery of freight, DHL Russia also operates its own regularflight between St. Petersburg and Helsinki, connecting the northern metropolis with theinternational air network of DHL. In addition, the 13,000 sqm DHL terminal in Pulkovo plays animportant role handling up to 500 tons of freight a day, DHL noted.

“In the last few years, the demand for DHL services in St. Petersburg and its metropolitanarea has been growing constantly,” said Igor Lisnyanski, regional manager, DHL St. Petersburg andNorth-Western region. “We always try to anticipate needs and expectations of our customers whilefollowing in every respect strict international standards and regulations regarding our servicelevel.”

DHL Russia is strongly focusing on infrastructural projects and is one of the largestproviders in the logistics sector and express delivery for the North-Western region, the companyadded.
