Deutsche Post World Net announced that John Allan will resign from his current position as ChiefFinancial Officer in June 2009.
Following his appointment as the Group CFO in 2007 and the extension of his contract in early2008, Allan (60) decided to retire from full-time work and make use of a contractual optionenabling him to end his current term of office prematurely.
Allan will continue to fully perform his tasks on the Management Board of DPWN until end June30, 2009 and serve as a senior advisor to CEO Frank Appel afterwards. The Supervisory Board willname a successor to Allan in due course, Deutsche Post said in a statement.
John Allan joined the company in December 2005, following DPWN’s acquisition of Exel plc,where he had worked as Chief Executive Officer. Before taking on his current post in October 2007,he was Management Board Member in charge of the former Corporate Division LOGISTICS comprising DHLExel Supply Chain, DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight. As Member of the Corporate Board ofManagement, Allan is also in charge of Global Business Services.
