FedEx speeds up international deliveries to Shanghai

FedEx Express has enhanced its inbound international express service in China. Building on theearlier service enhancements in the Pearl River Delta region, Shanghai deliveries from around the

world will now be delivered by noon, six hours earlier than the previous commitment of 18:00.
 
The enhanced delivery time applies to all inbound FedEx International Priority serviceshipments to most areas of Shanghai from Monday to Saturday, with a money-back guarantee. 
 
“Since we established operations in China 25 years ago, FedEx has continuously enhanced itsservice offerings in order to meet customer needs,” said Eddy Chan, senior vice president, FedExChina. “In China, the market is constantly changing, and it is important that as a company wechange with it. Our earlier delivery commitment of FedEx Express International Priority service inShanghai and enhancements in the Pearl River Delta region demonstrate our flexibility and how wetake innovative steps to improve our customer service to make every FedEx experience outstanding.”
 
The new noon delivery commitment for Shanghai adds to later cut-off times and earlierdelivery services offered in the Pearl River Delta region since March and May 2009 respectively. Inthe region, FedEx has extended the cut-off times for all outbound international shipments to Asiaand Europe, and made the delivery time commitment for all inbound FedEx International Priorityservice shipments by noon. These service enhancements apply to Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan,Dongguan, Zhongshan, Zhuhai, Huizhou and Jiangmen.
