Leading companies in the international express, parcels and postal industries have announcedexecutive and senior managerial appointments during November.
In France, Christophe Demême was appointed as Commercial and Marketing Director for DHLInternational Express to lead the air express activities in France from 12 October onwards. He willbe responsible for marketing and three sales channels, and will report to Florence Noblot, CEO DHLInternational Express France. The company comprises 1,600 staff spread over 32 sites.
Demême started his professional career as a solicitor at the French Centre of Foreign Tradein 1995. In 1996, he moved to TNT Jet Services where he later occupied the posts of CommercialAttaché and Key Account Manager until 1998. Then he was named Regional Director Sales and worked inthis position until 2002. After obtaining a master degree in management, Demême (42) joined DHL in2006 as Regional Director Sales for the area Ile-de-France Nord of DHL Express. Hisresponsibilities were extended to the whole France Nord region later on.
In Malaysia, David Ng has been named as the Country Manager for Brunei and Malaysia of DHLExpress succeeding Sam Leong. The appointment came into force on 1 November 2009.
Spanish express courier company Seur has appointed Alberto Navarro as the new generaldirector. He will replace Fernando Rodriguez Sousa (55), who has recently taken up the position ofvice-president for institutional relations within the group. He will occupy a strategic post aspart of the management board with the aim to strengthen the company’s institutional presence.
Prior to taking on his new position, Navarro was deputy president at AT Kearney. Previously,Navarro worked in different management positions at multinational companies such as UPS and TNT inSpain as well as UK, Germany and Belgium. He has a 15-year professional experience in Europe andLatin America, mainly in the transport and logistics sectors.
