DHL Express has expanded its electronic shipping service DHL eMailShip in Asia Pacific by offeringit via Microsoft Office throughout the region.
Customers can now download the application free of charge from Microsoft Office Onlinewebsites across DHL’s Asia Pacific markets. Microsoft Office Online is a collection of MicrosoftOffice user resources, such as downloads, templates and clip art, designed to help customers getthe most out of their Office System programs.
“Our collaboration with Microsoft Office provides another convenient option for our customersto access our services by offering the DHL eMailShip template with a popular Office productivityapplication that they are familiar with,” said Phillip Brooks, Vice President, Portfolio Management& Analysis, DHL Express – Asia Pacific. “This latest initiative underscores DHL’s commitment toconstantly innovate and enhance our customers’ shipping experience.”
Launched in October 2007, DHL eMailShip is an easy-to-use service that allows customers tofile their shipment details electronically. The paperless service allows air waybills, shipmentforms, customs documents and pickup forms to be prepared offline using the Adobe Acrobat PDF orMicrosoft Excel format, and submitted to DHL via email. Users can arrange shipment pick-upselectronically with just a single click of the mouse.
DHL eMailShip was recognised as one of the top 100 global IT innovations at the prestigious2007 InfoWorld 100 Awards.
