DPWN supports the UN Convention on Biological Diversity in Bonn

Deutsche Post World Net is actively supporting the UN environmental conference in Bonn, where theparties to the convention on biological diversity have been meeting since May 19, with a range of

public and logistical services.

The company is providing the conference with logistical support and will be setting up apostal retail outlet in the conference centre of the Hotel Maritim in Bonn from May 12-30. Theglass front of the Post Tower will also light up the evening sky on May 19 as well as during thepeak of the conference from May 27 to 30 with the number “2010,” which symbolizes the centraltarget of the intergovernmental convention.

The event is being attended by UN representatives, German Federal Environmental MinisterSigmar Gabriel and the Mayor of Bonn, Bärbel Dieckmann. It kicked off with an open air concert inBonn’s Museumsplatz (Museum Square) featuring artists from all over the world, including Irishsinger Bob Geldof.

DPWN said its support is part of its environmental programme “Go Green”. As the first companyin its industry to implement a measurable climate protection target, the group aims to reduce CO2emissions by 30 % for every letter mailed, every container shipped and every square meter of spaceused by 2020.
