Russian freight and parcels operator Armadillo Group, now rebranded to DPD, is extending itsnational network with the opening of three new regional branches in Siberia (Irkutsk, Kamerovo and
Surgut) this month as part of its strategic network expansion.The openings give the company a total of 26 branches throughout all the regions of theRussian Federation from the North-West to the Far East, Armadillo said in a statement.
Each new branch incorporates an office and operating terminal, including handling equipmentand IT technology linking all branches. Each branch covers between 250 sqm and 800 sqm and hascapacity to handle between 2,000 and 8,000 parcels per day. Shipments are handled and delivered allover Russia, including local delivery within a region.
The new branches provide a unified service portfolio of the Armadillo Group including DPDBizPak, which offers time delivery with a unique technology in terms of financial guarantees, andalso transportation of different goods all over Russia.
The most common products to be shipped include IT and telecommunication equipment, officetechnology, vehicle spare parts, advertising products, cosmetics, clothes and shoes.
