TNT eyes Airbus freighters

TNT

TNT is reportedly in talks with Airbus to buy new A320 freighters under a fleet modernisationprogramme.

Aviation publication Flight International reported that TNT Airways plans a “massive”purchase of narrow-body freighters to replace its current B737-300 cargo planes.

It cited the airline’s managing director, Niky Terzakis, as saying TNT had proposed new-buildA320/321 but might accept converted passenger planes due to problems over delivery slots.

TNT Airways is also looking at converted A330-200 freighters to replace its current A300-B4freighters, Terzakis was quoted as saying.
