DHL Asia Pacific said that it added new customer services and further extended its retail networkin the region during October.
In Malaysia, DHL Express launched DHL2Home, a new product offering reliable and secureshipping for working professionals, business people and families who are relocating or returning totheir home country. In addition, it opened a Servicepoint outlet in Miri, Sarawak, its eighth inthe country, and plans to open several more outlets over the next three years.
Elsewhere in South-East Asia, DHL opened a Servicepoint in the Thai holiday destination ofPhuket, a Servicepoint at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, Philippines, and launched a StudentExpress service in Singapore. It also won two “silver awards” at the Singapore Outdoor AdvertisingAwards.
In South Korea, DHL opened an enhanced service center in Daejeon and was the OfficialDelivery Partner of the ‘12th Pusan International Film Festival’ during October. In China,DHL-Sinotrans won two awards at 14th China Advertising Festival for two online adverts.
In Taiwan, DHL announced its continued sponsorship of the Chinese Taipei Baseball Team forthe upcoming World Cup and the Asian Cup, and introduced DHL University Express, an enhancedservice for students studying abroad. In Sri Lanka, DHL Keells (Pvt) Ltd relocated its ExpressCentre to the central hill capital of Kandy in October.
