Austrian Post claims to have made a successful start to doing business in Germany after setting upa subsidiary in its neighbouring market in late 2005.
Austrian Post International Deutschland (APID), which specialises in the fully liberalisedsegment of outbound international mail, made a profit on sales of over EUR 4 million in its firstfull business year, and aims to double sales this year.
“In our first full financial year, we achieved turnover of more than EUR 4 million and werein the black,” said managing director Andreas Gross. APID has several hundred customers and createsindividual solutions for their international direct marketing campaigns. It relies on Austrian Postresources and network for operational activities.
