FedEx orders 60 new courier vans for Europe

FedEx Express has ordered 60 new delivery vehicles from Iveco to enter service in Europe over thenext few months.



The Iveco “Daily” 35S12 vans, fitted with partition, sliding door and shelving system, are toenter service in Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, the UK and Ireland.

“We are really delighted to have become suppliers of one of the world leaders in the mail& parcel sector, not least because FedEx selected our vehicles after subjecting us to a strictevaluation process that all their potential suppliers have to go through,” commented Ivecointernational key accounts manager Ottavio Gioglio.

FedEx selected the Iveco Daily for its distribution fleet after evaluating a number of itsadvantages, namely the cab ergonomics and the high number of load compartment configurations, themanufacturer said.

Iveco designs, manufactures, and markets a broad range of light, medium and heavy commercialvehicles, off-road trucks, city and intercity buses and coaches as well as special vehicles forapplications such as fire fighting, off-road missions, defence and civil protection in countriesacross the world.
