German express freight operator trans-o-flex said it has introduced a video monitoring system atits network locations in Germany to further increase the security of the goods it transports.
Specialised cameras made by video security supplier Mobotix have been installed at the sitesof trans-o-flex system partners in order to monitor certain handling zones and register at alltimes which goods are moved where, and when. “By integrating this system we are again reinforcingour preventive security structure,” said Werner Haas, Managing Director of trans-o-flex IT ServiceGmbH.
The high-quality recordings made by the Mobotix system, combined with the intelligentpositioning of the cameras, significantly raise the stakes for potential wrongdoers and assist theclarification process in cases of theft or damage. “Along with our existing security precautions,the camera technology is a primary element of the trans-o-flex security programme,” Haas added.
“Within a month, we had installed the Mobotix D10 cameras at trans-o-flex throughout Germanyand taken them into service,” explained Markus Grünwald, Managing Director of the Mobotix systempartner Uniserve GmbH.
