Post Danmark

Post Danmark has launched a new parcel status information service using SMS messaging. Theservice is available for B2B and B2C deliveries in Denmark.

The Danish national postal operator sends customers an SMS to inform them that their parcel hasbeen received at a postal sorting centre and when it is due for delivery. The message also includesthe name of the sender and whether any charges are liable.

If the item could not be delivered, the post office sendsthe customer a second message saying where it can be collected. The SMS messages, which cost anominal one crown, are sent between 08:00 and 21:00.
