Trans-o-flex joins UN social and ecological development initiative

German express operator trans-o-flex has joined Global Compact, a United Nations-led initiativeon corporate social and ecological development.

The initiative is a global network called into being by UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, unitingclose to 2,800 corporations, NGOs, municipalities and official UN bodies. Members commit themselvesto put into practice ten basic principles of social and ecological behaviour. These range from theobservation of human rights through adequate working conditions and environmental protection tocombating blackmail and bribery.

“For our customers and employees it is critical that trans-o-flex is and remains a fair andreliable partner in all areas, with our development based on ethical principles,” declared CEOKlaus Heinz. “In the long term, success will belong to those who focus on and document the socialand ecological development of their business, not only the economic factors.”
